About the Candidates

  • Wyatt Anderson, Utah Tech University

I have worked at Utah Tech University for the past three years within Atwood Innovation Plaza, where I support students, faculty, and staff in transforming ideas into viable business ventures. My work centers on fostering innovation and entrepreneurship while strengthening the infrastructure that supports it.

I have been actively involved in developing institutional policy related to intellectual property, served on intellectual property committees, and contributed to the establishment of Utah Tech’s Technology Licensing Office. These experiences have given me a strong appreciation for how thoughtful policy and collaboration can empower both individuals and institutions.

I accepted the nomination to run for President-Elect of Utah Higher Education Staff Association because I am deeply passionate about higher education and the vital role professional staff play in advancing institutional success. It would be an honor to serve alongside fellow leaders and to represent and advocate for professional staff across the Utah System of Higher Education.

  • Aimee DiBrienza, Southern Utah University

Aimee DiBrienza is the Director of Adult and Workforce Education at Southern Utah University, where she designs and delivers certificate programs, industry training, and workforce pathways across a wide range of sectors. A Utah native and SUU alumna, she brings 28 years of experience in education, spanning K-12 teaching and administration, instructional design, and higher education program development.

In her current role, she is a key leader of the Iron Leaders Academy through the SUU Leadership Institute, building progressive leadership development programs that grow capacity in both individuals and organizations. Aimee is a strong advocate for higher education staff, believing that institutions thrive when the people who run them are invested in, recognized, and developed. She is active in community leadership through Cedar City Rotary and Vision Iron County, and has presented at regional conferences and been published in national education outlets on topics related to workforce innovation and adult learning. Her work is grounded in strategic planning, cross-institutional partnership, and a deep commitment to the communities she serves. Aimee is eager to bring that same commitment to UHESA's mission of connecting and strengthening higher education staff across Utah.

  • Kol Gibson, Southern Utah University

With more than a decade of experience in university-level communications, I have developed a strong understanding of how clear, strategic messaging can connect people and inspire action. I recognize the importance of consistent, effective communication in supporting and mobilizing higher education staff across the state. I believe that communication is the foundation of meaningful advocacy, ensuring that staff voices are heard, understood, and represented.

If selected, I am committed to strengthening communication channels and helping the UHESA Board to more effectively engage with its members. I would be grateful for the opportunity to contribute my skills in the service of UHESA and its mission.

  • Sinapati "Paki" Moe, Snow College

I am interested in serving as Historian for the Utah Higher Education Staff Association because it permits me to capture and share the meaningful work and impact of staff across our institutions. I believe that saving these stories will honor the past and serve as a guide to help navigate into the future. It is also a chance to meet colleagues from across the state and support their efforts to succeed.

  • Pat Palmer, Southern Utah University

I’d love the opportunity to serve as Historian on the UHESA Board. I’m the Business Manager for SUU’s College of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics, and I’ve been part of SUU since 2008—first as a student worker, then as full-time staff since 2012. I’ve seen firsthand how critical advocacy for staff growth and development is, and how recognition and opportunity can truly transform a workplace.

I believe preserving and sharing UHESA’s history can strengthen connections across institutions and expand opportunities for staff statewide. With my experience organizing and maintaining complex records, I’d focus on making UHESA’s story accessible while highlighting staff accomplishments. I’d love to contribute to ensuring our history continues to support and inspire future advocacy and growth.

  • Kevin Rothlisberger, Salt Lake Community College

Kevin holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Communication from UVU and works at Salt Lake Community College as an Assistant Bursar. He’s also currently the Chair for Benefits and Employee Welfare. Previously, he served as the Communications Chair. In that role, he learned the ins and outs of submitting updates to the Staff Senate Website and learned how to effectively use Microsoft SharePoint as a communication tool across various departments.

If elected to this role, Kevin would dedicate time to being transparent, timely, and effective in his communication strategies with all Utah Higher Education Staff members.

  • Kevin Rothlisberger, Salt Lake Community College

Kevin holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and works at Salt Lake Community College as an Assistant Bursar. When he learned about the UHESA Historian position being available, he desired to be the first to not only hold the position but to do the position well. Kevin believes in taking a record of present-day efforts for future generations to refer back to frequently.

If elected to this role, Kevin plans on investing deeply in learning about each member of the UHESA Board and about efforts they have made and continue to make in their capacity in UHESA.
